Money. Many see it as all-powerful. The driving force behind all we are, possess and can do. The misguided thinking is that if we have more, we can buy more and do more, for ourselves. It can deceive us into thinking too highly of ourselves and cause us to lose perspective of the real value of life. There are those who have little to no financial resources and are hoping for a crumb to fall their way. In their eyes, it’s nothing to spend their last dollar. They believe they have a real chance to one day guess the right lottery numbers and hit the jackpot. And, some do.

“The Certified Financial Planner Board reports state that one-third of lottery winners declare bankruptcy—meaning they were worse off than before they became rich. Other studies show that lottery winners frequently become estranged from family and friends, and incur a greater incidence of depression, drug and alcohol abuse, divorce, and suicide.” (1)

So, what good is money? How can we view it in a way that doesn’t master us, but rather determine where we spend it? The fact that money is nothing more than a compilation of fibers from trees woven into paper can help us better put it into perspective. Following an awakening, my eyes opened to that very perspective and reality. I came to see money as a tool for helping others rebuild a healthy life.

What I could do with money pouring down from heaven is limitless. I know that as it flows into my hands, it flows right through them for a purpose much greater than me. Money is nothing and everything to me. Rather than thinking about gaining money, I stay focused on the vision and mission I am fulfilling. As money increases, I sit and reason together with my Creator about how to steward it well. Nothing belongs to me. If we are a Christian, it’s on loan to steward for the good of all—to provide for our needs and to help others.

If you know me, you’ve seen that through my life choices and writings my purpose is to share Truth and love. I do this with women who dare to step into new beginnings after they have experienced tragic pasts. When we help them find the One they need with practical and proven principles over 2000 years, we make a difference. Offering them acceptance, love and Truth are catalysts for change.

With a rain storm of money pouring down from heaven, I will cast my net wider to fulfill the vision of bringing restoration and wholeness to a community of emotionally, spiritually & physically wounded women. They will taste of the good news and bread of life. They will see it is good!

Growing up I sang a song, you’ve probably heard it. Maybe you sang it, too.

Oh, Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz. My friends all got Porsches, I must make amens. I’ve worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends, Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz.

When I became a woman and put away childish things, I began singing a new song.

Oh Lord, pour down from heaven with all that we need. So many women want to know your love, you know what we need. Help me, Lord, to be patient upon you. Oh Lord, pour down from heaven all we need for them to know you!

What is your song? What could you do with money pouring down from Heaven?
