Stay united with me, as I will with you – for just as a branch can’t put forth fruit by itself apart from the vine so you can’t bear fruit apart from me. John 15:4

As Christians, our determination in all things is rooted and sustained by the power of the atonement of the cross of Jesus Christ.

Abiding is not anything Jesus does for us; it is ours to yield into our being. Whatever we do and go through on our journey, we are called to do it all for the glory of God.

Only through abiding in Him and opening our hearts for Him to abide in us can we bring glory to our Heavenly Father. In Oneness with Him, we can do things impossible for man, but so possible for God. Like we can take every thought captive, invite Him to change our hearts, to guard our mouths and invite His strength to bring every area of our life under His mastership. Yes, our lives have many pieces.

We have our spiritual, physical and emotional health, family, financial and other gifts from God. But for God, nothing is impossible, and all these can be brought into alignment to steward well and glorify Him. And, as we focus on Him in each area, He is faithful to meet us where we are. Abiding. It is for us to do. It is foundational to our true being. As we begin to take every thought captive, we get a front row seat to watch how God leads our internal life transformation offering us a new perspective on our external circumstances. As we are yielded to listen, trust, and follow His voice, He forms and shapes us to become more like our sweet Jesus. The scriptures reveal in John 3:3 that those who are born again receive a new nature. Freedom from the power of sin over us is gained, and living as a servant of the Lord Jesus can be chosen. Set free, we are continuously changed, layer by layer, into His likeness, the way we were created to be from the beginning.

Knowing this in our head is one thing, victoriously living out our new nature from our heart and standing firm is the game changer. Transformation comes as we abide.

Have you taken steps to abide in Christ?

Do you question if you know the Truth about the love of God for you? If so, invite Him to give you His wisdom and ask that the Spirit of Truth teach you what a real loving relationship looks like through His Word.

He has promised that when we ask for His wisdom, He hears us and answers.

He stands with open arms and invites us to let Him lovingly teach us how to live and love well in His will.
