My 21-Day Blogging Challenge and Why

Blogging consecutively for 21 business days can feel forced, scary and uncertain. It can add pressure to an already full schedule, but in my complex mind, I am drawn to participate.

History has proven I don’t function well under pressure. In fact, during past times of writing, I have intentionally set myself far from others so I could meditate on the message I want to convey, then write. But life got busy, time for long meditations got squeezed, and I lost momentum. What I’ve learned is there is no time like the present to get started. So, here I am, a late 50’s female stepping into what feels like a ten-year-old about to dive into the icy cold waters of a Colorado river in early Spring.

Do You Know The Real Thing?

When I was in my early 20’s, I began what became a 5-year career of working for a bank. I began as a teller, but first I was required to go to teller training. This is where we were taught policies, procedures, balancing our drawer and effective ways to communicate with our customers. In addition to learning these very important aspects of banking during our training, we handled a lot of money. (more…)

Single again working Moms experience real challenges before they step out the door each morning.

Not only do they have to prepare themselves for work. They have the responsibility to make sure their children are bathed, fed and dressed.

Love Changes Lives

It wasn’t how I wanted to spend my day. You’ve been there. The inopportune hours we spend at the auto repair shop.

There were three recalls on my car. After making a few attempts over a year’s time to have them repaired, the parts were finally in, and the repairs could happen in two hours.

Do You Know Who Your Healer Is?

“If only I can touch the hem of His garment I can be well.” She could barely get the words out. Life was hard for women of that time, especially this one.

She was a woman of faith, a woman who knew He was her healer, and if only she could get to Him, everything could change. The crowds were massive, and she was weak, nearly crawling on the ground. For at least twelve years she bled and though she had seen many doctors, doctors who drained all her financial resources, no cure or healing had come.
